Manage DMARC with dmarcian via Progressive Web App
Our DMARC Management Platform can now be added to your device as a progressive web app. With the DMARC Management Platform installed as a progressive web app, you can access dmarcian’s DMARC platform as if it is an individual app on your device.
Once installed, you’ll see a dmarcian icon/shortcut, which can be added to your taskbar or dock; clicking on the icon/shortcut will open the DMARC Management Platform in its own window.
What are Progressive Web Apps?
Progressive Web Apps (PWA) are built using modern web technologies that let them function like both a website and a native mobile app. For organizations, this means more flexibility; for users, it means a smoother, more reliable experience, no matter the device they’re on.
You may be more familiar with PWAs than you think. Popular examples include Starbucks and Google Maps, apps that feel native but run through the web.
PWAs help deliver a consistent, high quality experience across devices without the overhead of a traditional app. They load quickly, and can even run on slower network speeds as they take up minimal storage on a user’s device.
PWA benefits
With PWA, you get the functionality of a platform-specific app with the utility of a website. Following are a few advantages to working with PWA:
- Access: Add your dmarcian app to your operating system home screen like a native app.
- Performance: PWAs are designed for quick loading times and responsive interactions.
- Automatic updates: The app will be updated as needed without your intervention.
- Cross-device consistency: You’ll have a stable, predictable user experience across devices and operating systems.
- Authentication: passwordless authentication through your device’s fingerprint scanner or external USB security key.
How to install dmarcian’s PWA
If you’d like to try our DMARC Management Platform as a browser app, just log into your dmarcian account and follow these browser instructions:
Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Brave
- Click the App available icon in the address bar to install the PWA.
- Click “Install” to complete the installation and run the PWA.
Safari
- Click on “Share” and select “Add to Dock.”
Adding installability was an important first step in bringing PWA capabilities into our platform. It gives users an easy, native-feeling way to keep our app close at hand, which helps strengthen and streamline our overall brand experience. While this feature doesn’t include offline support or background updates yet, it lays the foundation for future PWA enhancements that we may introduce as we continue evolving the experience.
