dmarcian‘s purpose is to spread DMARC far and wide by increasing accessibility, advocacy, and thought leadership. We achieve this by focusing on the people doing the work and helping them make the world of email and the greater world a better place for all.
“The Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) is an international, cross-sector effort dedicated to eradicating cyber risk and improving our connected world.”
dmarcian helped educate GSA about DMARC early on which led to the adoption of DMARC as one of their priorities. We continue to coordinate around advocacy events across the globe.
“APWG is the international coalition unifying the global response to cybercrime across industry, government and law-enforcement sectors and NGO communities.”
dmarcian supports APWG through shared research and new initiatives to increase the security of email.
“The mission of the IETF is to make the Internet work better by producing high quality, relevant technical documents that influence the way people design, use, and manage the Internet.”
dmarcian contributes directly to the standardization of DMARC through active participation in the DMARC working group.
“The Internet Society supports and promotes the development of the Internet as a global technical infrastructure, a resource to enrich people’s lives, and a force for good in society.”
As a member, dmarcian supports the building and supporting of communities that make the Internet work; and the advancement of the development and application of Internet infrastructure, technologies, and open standards.
“We systematically focus on operational issues of Internet abuse including technology, industry collaboration and public policy.”
As a M3AAWG member, dmarcian directly contributes to M3AAWG’s mission by presenting research, collaborating on the development of best practices, and bringing new ideas to the M3AAWG community.
We value the potential in every person and try to speak to that in every element of our business. We carry this value forward as we maximize our positive impact by reinvesting our profits to our workers, our communities, and our environment.
We believe that values require action. dmarcian is committed to making a positive impact not just in the email ecosystem or within our own company, but in the world. To that end, we’ve committed ourselves to alliances that align with our core values.
Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
Society’s most challenging problems cannot be solved by government and nonprofits alone. The B Corp community works toward reduced inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier environment, stronger communities, and the creation of more high quality jobs with dignity and purpose. By harnessing the power of business, B Corps use profits and growth as a means to a greater end: positive impact for their employees, communities, and the environment.
B Corps form a community of leaders and drive a global movement of people using business as a force for good.
1% for the Planet is a global organization that connects dollars and doers to accelerate smart environmental giving. We recognize that the current level of environmental giving – only 3% of total philanthropy – is not enough to solve the most pressing issues facing our planet.
Through our business and individual membership, 1% for the Planet inspires people to support environmental organizations through annual membership and everyday actions. We advise on giving strategies, we certify donations, and we amplify the impact of the network.
At a recent DK Hostmaster workshop, guest instructor Tim Draegen, CEO of dmarcian, helped attendees better understand how DMARC makes use of authentication to improve email security using the well-known SPF and DKIM mechanisms, how DMARC’s reporting protocols help protect email domains quickly and precisely, and how to deploy DMARC in an organization.
dmarcian is a proud to be a sponsor of Montreat College’s Center for Cybersecurity Education and Leadership annual event, RETR3AT, a conference designed to engage, educate, and raise awareness about cybersecurity in Western North Carolina and beyond. RETR3AT goes beyond the “1s and 0s” approach to cybersecurity training, challenging attendees to think about how to lead in protecting their organization’s information within an ethical framework.
For 2018, dmarcian had a total of 691 of employee volunteer hours for various non-profits and community organizations globally as we maximize our positive impact around the world.
The email standard DMARC was established to improve the quality and reliability of the largest medium of business communication. But this free medium needs representation and commitment to create the change necessary to create a safer business environment. We, at dmarcian, are the custodians of the email environment.
Similarly, both the Earth Law Center and Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund serve as a voice for the environment and communities that can’t speak for themselves. They offer legal consultation, create new laws, and educate the public in order to protect the planet.
We operate in solidarity as advocates for a better world.
